On summer 2024 Women’s ministry started gathering funds to send items to Prison in the Dominican Republic.

• Pastor Bill and Alta have been in missions and supporting the Dominican Republic Women’s Prison since 2018

-Women’s Prisons in Latin America are different from the United states, they don’t provide anything.

-BVCC Is been supporting  Dominican Republic Women’s Prison since 2020

-We been providing to the Women’s Prison with:

– In each visit we presented the Gospel

-Bibles

-Feminine and bathroom supplies for the inmates

-Cleaning supplies for the Prison Facilities

-Sound system

–Each week we send the Sunday Message translated in spanish for both prisons.

-We didn’t visit this year Dominican Republic and Thank you for your generous donations we were able this year to have a remote team in the Dominican Republic to fill bags for 100 inmates: 70 for big prison  and 30 for the small prison, with-Feminine and bathroom supplies for the inmates and cleaning supplies for the Prison Facilities.

-The Logistics if we were in the Dominican Republic would take 2 weeks working everyday to have all the items in one place, Remotely takes 2 months. 

-We started the remote process this June: Working with the store Online and with the manager Remotely to have all the items in one place from all the other stores.

-Working with the prisons to get the Authorizations

-Working with the remote team lead by Atlas’s family who picks up the items from the store, classifies the items, packs the bags and now delivers.

The items for each Inmate were:

-5 packages of feminine pads

-2 packages of 4 toilet paper (8 toilet papers per person) 

-3 tooth paste in a package 

-2 deodorants in a package

-2 toothbrush in a  package

-6 soaps in a package

-1 shopping bag to place all the items

Items for the Prision cleaning are:

-4 Gallons of bleach for cleaning the prison (2 per prison)

-4 gallons of disinfectant  for cleaning the prison (2 per prison)

-4 of 2.5 detergent bag for cleaning the prison (2 per prison)

The delivery dates were:

-Tuesday July 30th was delivered of 30 bags (Small Prison)

-Thursday August 8th will be delivery 70 bags (Big Prison)

In the month of February 2023 we visited The Dominican Republic, Preaching in several churches and Women’s Prisons.

It is a great joy to see and hear the prophetic words of our Lord Jesus Christ being fulfilled, that His Gospel would be preached in every corner of the world. What a joy for us to have brothers and sisters filled with love from a small church, in a country so far away from us who are providing us with the word of God, and coming to visit us, as well as using technological resources to send us Weekly Words and even our brothers and sisters in Christ at BVCC donating the sound system to us here in Prison in fulfillment of the great commission that our lord Jesus Christ commanded us.

In our condition here in Prison, this is more than valuable – it’s necessary. And we have been blessed to receive these things from our Lord because you have all manifested your obedience to God and your love for us in different ways. God used you so greatly to supply the word of God to us with your visits, weekly words, Sunday sermons, and Bibles so we can search for the truth of our Lord and receive true freedom.

You came from so far away at the right moment when we didn’t have any soap or toilet paper… It was as though God sent you to provide for a need that He already knew we needed and that caused us to marvel at the majestic power of our Lord God. We know that God, our creator, is infinite and is sovereign and has control over all things. He knows everything about us and we thank you, our brothers and sisters in Christ. To God be all the glory, praise, and honor!

We meet every day to study the Bible and we meet weekly to listen to the [Weekly Words and Sunday sermons from Pastor Dale that Alta translates and records in audio format for us], and when we return to our cells we continue to read the Bible. It is like a spiritual delicacy, like the most refreshing, satisfying soul-food for us when we read the Bible and we are looking forward to enjoying the fresh, clean water that flows from it like a great river, from pristine mountains to us every day, which is the Living Water of Christ.

We are praying for you that God continues using you and guiding you all. We love you in the love of Christ. We hope to see you soon.
