The Knowledge of God:

Hello friends. This is Bill Daly from Bitterroot Valley Calvary Chapel with this week’s episode of Root Words. In thinking of this week’s message of encouragement to you, I decided that I would cover a topic that I’d been wanting to do for some time. See, one of the most important aspects of our walk with the Lord is that we are called to KNOW God. And even though you might think God is unknowable, we CAN know God as He has revealed Himself to us in His word. Over the coming weeks, we are going to spend some time taking a very broad look at the various Attributes of God.

Today we are going to examine:

The Knowledge of God: See, God is perfectly acquainted with every detail in the life of every being in heaven, on earth, and in hell. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself tells us in the 10th chapter of Matthew that even the hairs on your head are numbered. Now, I suppose that if you happen to be bald, that might not seem that impressive. But in the same chapter, our Lord tells us that not even a bird falls to the ground without God knowing about it.

How solemn is this fact: that nothing can be concealed from God. Though He is invisible to us, we are not so to Him. The author of Hebrews tells us in the 13th Verse of Chapter 4 that, “no creature is hidden from His sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to Whom we must give account”. Were it in any way possible for something to occur apart from the direct permission of God, then that something would be independent of Him and He would at once cease to be Supreme. The fact that He foresaw our every fall, our every sin, our every backsliding, and yet nevertheless fixed His heart upon us should cause us to buckle under the weight of awe and wonder and worship before Him!

Well, I hope this has been a blessing. I wish you all a wonderful week and I hope to see you soon. God bless!
